Image Analysis Guide
— Reading Photographed Contracts
Reads the text in photos of contracts and bills taken with your phone and explains it in plain language. Text recognition runs in your browser. How to use it and how personal data is handled.
When to use it
Paper contracts, bills that arrive by post and notices photographed at a bank counter have no file. All you have is a phone photo.
Use Image Analysis when:
- You photographed a paper contract with your phone
- You captured a text message or app screen
- The small print on a posted bill is hard to read
- You need to check documents your parents sent you as photos
ConvoFin is a tool that reads documents with you. It does not judge which product is better for you.
How to use it
- Upload photos — Click the upload area (
Click or drag images here) or drag files onto it. JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC are supported, up to 10 images at a time. - Try an example first — If you do not have an image, press
Open the one-page sample. You can try OCR right away with an image of a fictional agreement unrelated to any real contract. - Adjust the view — If a photo is tilted, straighten it with the
↺ Rotatebuttons. Zoom with➖➕, and move around with the✋hand tool. Remove a wrong photo with🗑️. - Document language — OCR uses PP-OCRv5. On the Korean screen the Korean model is used; on the English, Japanese and Chinese screens a multilingual model that supports all three is used automatically.
- Recognize the text — Press
🔍 Run OCR. A progress bar appears, and when it finishes the recognized text appears in the📄 OCR Texttab. Text recognition runs inside your browser. - Delete or hide personal data — Use a copy with personal information deleted or hidden, and always check it yourself before sending.
- Request the analysis — Press
🤖 AI Deep Analysisto get a summary and explanation based on the recognized text.
What you will see
- Overview — A short collection of points worth checking in the photographed document.
- OCR Text — The recognized text as it is. Check here first for misread characters.
- Plain Terms — Difficult terms rephrased in everyday language.
- Notes — Write down what you checked or questions to ask the agent.
In the 🔤 Words tab you can see each recognized word, and you can tap a text area on the image to look up its meaning. In the 💬 AI Chat Assistant at the bottom you can continue with questions such as Is this image risky?, Summarize the key points and What's easy to miss?.
Photos are affected by blur, shadows and folds. If text is misread, the explanation that follows can be off too. For important contracts, check the original paper document as well.
How personal data is handled
- Text recognition happens inside your browser. The photo does not leave your device while the text is being read.
- When you run the analysis, the document content read from the image is sent. Storing the extracted text as the original and the version processed for analysis are managed separately, so distinguish between keeping the uploaded image and keeping the recognized sentences.
- The analysis result cache and the stored original are different things. See the Privacy Policy for what is kept and when it is deleted.
- Before requesting an analysis, you must hide or delete personal information such as resident registration numbers, account numbers and card numbers yourself, and check the image you are sending.

Frequently asked questions
Q. What if the image is blurry?
A. Retake it in a bright place without shadows. Flatten the document, make sure no text is cut off, and run recognition again. Compare numbers and dates with the original yourself.
Q. The text was read strangely.
A. First check the result in the 📄 OCR Text tab. If much of it is wrong, run it again, or copy just that sentence into Direct Input and analyze it there.
Q. Can I upload several photos at once?
A. Up to 10. For a multi-page contract, upload them in order. If there are many pages, it is easier to make a PDF and use PDF Analysis.
Q. Are HEIC photos (the iPhone default) supported?
A. Yes. If one still does not open, save it as JPG or PNG and upload it again.
Q. Can I trust the results as they are?
A. No. ConvoFin is an assistant that puts documents into plain language; it does not provide financial, legal or tax advice. Both text recognition errors and AI errors are possible, so check the original.
